588: Moments of darkness

Itachi prepares to do a hand sign when suddenly he grabs his eye in obvious pain.
Itachi: "Izanami has taken too much chakra out of me. Sasuke can you break the edo tensei."

Sasuke looks itachi in the eye and remembers a flashback from meeting tobi.

Tobi: "I promise when this war is over we together will restore the Uchiha clan to its former glory."

Sasuke smiles and steps towards kabuto. He does a hand sign and suddenly in the blink of an eye stabs kabuto in the heart. Kabuto's sage mode fades away as he reverts to normal. Tears stream down kabuto's face as he collapse to the ground dead. Itachi has a horrified look on his face.

Itachi: "Do you realize what you have done? Now there will be no way to turn off the edo tensei."
Sasuke: "That way you will aways be with me Itachi. Together we will restore the Uchiha clan to its former glory."

Itachi looks at Sasuke with obvious anger as sasuke smiles as blood slowly starts to pool around kabuto. Madara is standing over the hokages which are all laying on the ground obviously exhausted and wounded.

Madara: "I guess its time to decide which one of you I will kill first."

Suddenly madara stops as he sees the runes on his body begin to vanish. He looks up at muu and suddenly muu has runes all over his body too. The runes vanish as madara smiles.

Madara thinking: "I guess I no longer have anyone to hold me back."

Madara: "I have decided to let you all live for now. Remember this mercy cause next time we meet I will kill each of you."

Madara runs away from the battlefield as the others look on. Tsunade reaches an arm out towards him as he flees but collapses on the ground. Tobi is looking at naruto as the rain covers the area.

Tobi: "It appears we have company."

Naruto turns around to see the shinobi arriving at the battlefield.

589: Assault on Gedo Maza

Naruto is huddled next to shikimaru while they both look at gedo maza from a distance.

Naruto: "So thats what you saw when gedo maza came to the battlefield."
Shikimaru: "Yeah. I guess from what you have told me we have our work cut out for us for now."
Naruto: "Not entirely. I know from my connection to the other bijuu that gedo maza's hold on them is weak at best. If we can damage it enough they may be able to slowly break away from its control. We just have to think of its weak point."
Shikimaru: "But where exactly could that be. It seemed almost unstoppable on the battlefield."

Naruto suddenly has a realization as he flashes back to seeing the bijuu being pulled into gedo maza.

Naruto: "The eyes! I saw the eyes change as it took back the bijuu."
Shikimaru: "I think I know what we have to do but what about him."

Shikimaru looks at Tobi and back at naruto.

Naruto: "Killer Bee and I will focus on taking care of him and keeping him distracted. After all its us he really wants. As long as we can keep him distracted long enough for you to take down gedo maza we have a chance."
Shikimaru: "Alright I will go inform the others."

Naruto starts walking towards tobi while shikimaru calls for everyone else to huddle with him.

Naruto: "This is your last chance. If you stop this now and free the bijuu I can promise you the others will allow you to leave."
Tobi: "I am not as weak minded as nagato. You have no chance of changing my mind."
Naruto: "Good. That means I have no reason to hold back on taking you down nor does killer bee. Today we are both gonna make sure you feel exactly the pain you have caused others. Killer bee lets get him."
Killer Bee: "Right behind you fool."

Naruto and killer bee charge towards Tobi who draws a hidden sword from his robe. Shikimaru and the others look over at gedo maza. The eyes of gedo maza look around to stare at all the shinobi gathered around it. Suddenly gedo maza rises completely from the ground standing at its full height.

Shikimaru: "Attack!"

The shinobi all start using a variety of attacks at gedo maza that seem to fail to do any damage to it. Tobi looks over at the shinobi that are attacking.

Tobi: "Your friends are wasting their time trying to take down gedo maza. They have no chance."
Naruto: "Your fight is with me not them!"

Gedo maza suddenly starts shooting out chakra chains that start grabbing souls from several of shinobi. Hinata narrowly dodges a chakra chain as it strikes the ground. Mighty Guy and chouji runs over and checks on hinata.

Hinata: "I think if you toss me high enough I can get a clear shot at one of the eyes."
Choujii: "Well I can toss you up there but it will have to be quick."
Mighty Guy: "Toss me up there too. If hinata doesn't make it I might be able to."
Chouji: "Ok."

Chouji does some hand signs and suddenly his hand grows big as he suddenly tosses hinata and mighty guy high into the air near gedo maza. Hinata instantly charges forward and hits gedo maza in the eye with a gentle fist palm attack while mighty guy hits gedo maza with morning peacock. Suddenly a huge roar envelopes the area as gedo maza stumbles back with smoke erupting heavily from its eye. As the smoke clears hinata and mighty guy fall to the ground unconscious. Naruto looks over and smiles then looks over at killer bee.

Naruto: "Can you keep tobi busy. I need to have a little chat with those two."
Killer bee: "What are you doing fool?! This is no time for a little chat!"
8 tails: "Shut up bee. Something has happened which changes everything."
Killer bee thinks: "What has happened?"

Naruto walks over to mighty guy and hinata who have been moved away from gedo maza by the shinobi. Naruto touches both of them and closes his eyes. He find himself next to hinata and guy who are bothing staring in awe at the two bijuu who are hiding in the darkness looking down at them.

8 tails: "Two of the bijuu have just managed to escape gedo maza."
Naruto: "Mighty Guy and Hinata say hello to your new bijuu."

The four tails and the two tails slowly appear as they look down at them.

590: Gedo Mazo crumbling/Tobi's desperation

Son Gokuo is laughing while mighty guy looks at Naruto with surprise.

Son Goku: "You mean to tell me I jumped out of gedo maza only to be latched onto this puny guy."
Metatabi: "Well at least we aren't trapped in gedo maza any more. Besides this young one reminds me of yugito when she was young."
Naruto angrily shouting: "We don't have time to joke around. The others are still trapped in gedo maza and if we don't do something soon you will both be going back into gedo maza!"

Goku and Metatabi both look at naruto then nod their heads in agreement.

Son Goku: "So be it. I will take this scrawny man under my wing and together we will see if we can bring gedo maza down."

Goku picks up might guy who seems rather surprised and sets him on his shoulder.

Metetabi: "Do not be afraid hinata isn't it. You will find that together we make quite the team."

Naruto slowly opens his eyes to find hinata and mighty guy standing up. They both nod their heads as they look back at Naruto.

Goku: "Alright lets go pay back gedo maza for all those years of imprisonment!"

Mighty guy and hinata both charge towards gedo maza while naruto runs over to meet up with shikimaru.

Shikimaru: "Are those two alright? The medics couldnt explain what happened to them."
Naruto: "Everything is going according to plan though we will need to put more people into distracting tobi. Once he realizes what is happening it will take everything we got to keep him from stopping us."

Mighty guy charges over towards gedo maza which turns to face mighty guy. Gedo maza attempts to hit mighty guy with a chakra chain when suddenly hinata using a gentle fist technique manages to cut the chain. Mighty guy kicks gedo maza in the leg causing a large cracking noise to occur. Tobi suddenly stops fighting as he turns to see gedo maza damaged.

Tobi thinking: "Shit! What the hell is happening over there. Gedo maza can't be damaged that easily by normal techniques!"

Suddenly several shinobi rush towards tobi forcing him to port to another spot only to have several shinobi race over and attack him. Gedo maza tries to attack several of the shinobi with chakra chains but hinata races at blinding speed to each one chopping the chains before they can hit.

Shikimaru: "We are gonna try this again. We need some volunteers. Chouji get ready to toss them into the air when I give the signal!"
Chouji: "Right!"

Darui, Kurotsuchi, and Chōjūrō all run to Chouji who nods his head as they stand in front of him.

Chouji: "Get ready!"

Mighty guy attacks gedo maza with a vicious round house kick to the lower leg of gedo maza. Gedo maza brings its hands down to strike at mighty guy.

Shikimaru: "Now!"

Chouji instantly launches the three of them high enough into air to strike at gedo maza point blank in the face. Instantly Darui hits laser circus into the eye of gedo maza, Chōjūrō slashes the eye with his sword, and Kurotsuchi hits gedo maza in the eye with a lava spell. Gedo maza screams even louder causing Tobi to suddenly divert his attention to gedo maza.

Tobi thinking: "Damn it! Not again. They must have found its weakness. I better stop them fast."

Naruto suddenly upper cuts tobi knocking him backwards in surprise. Tobi's eyes widen in obvious hatred. Tobi looks back to see Darui, Kurotsuchi, and Chōjūrō stand up and charge towards gedo maza.

Tobi: "You will pay dearly for this naruto. Now you have forced me to rely on my last weapon I least wanted to use."

Tobi does a series of hand signs as the others look on.

591: The last stand of Tobi

Tobi looks at naruto and as he finishes the last hand sign suddenly starts floating into the air lifted up by what appears to be a portal.

Tobi: "Hear me all of you! You have stolen something that is rightfully mine. Now I shall imprison you all in one final shot."

Tobi disappears into the clouds. The rain begins to stop as the clouds seem to be sucked in by some kind of maelstrom happening in mid air.

Lee: "Whoa. How big is that portal gonna get?"
Hinata: "I can see him thanks to the improvements in my byakugan by the bijuu. It appears he has put all his chakra into it."
Naruto: "Just like chibaku tensei. We better move fast cause that thing is gonna be getting a lot bigger soon and the damage will be enormous."
Shikimaru: "We need two final volunteers to grab the last of the bijuu!"
Temari: "I will do it! If my guess is correct I have a 50/50 shot at getting shukaku. I know garaa would like his bijuu back when this is over."
Kankuro: "Temari are you sure on that? We don't know how well you will be able to handle having shikaku inside you."
Shikimaru: "Alright thats one. Who will take the other?"
Samurai: "I will take it!"
Shikimaru: "Good. Get in position."
Chouji: "I guess this is the last ones."

Temari and samurai both get in position in front of chouji while the guy continues to damage the massive crack to the lower leg of gedo maza, hinata and Chōjūrō attack the other leg, darui blasts the abdoment of gedo maza with laser circus, and Kurotsuchi traps gedo maza in place with an earth style attack. Suddenly darui makes a deep hit into the stomach of gedo maza which suddenly bursts through the back of gedo maza.

Shikimaru: "Now!"

Chouji launches temari and samurai into the air in front of the eyes of gedo maza. Both of them manage to hit gedo maza in the eyes causing a massive scream to occur as the last bijuus escape from gedo maza leaving it blinded and enraged reaching around for anything to destroy. Temari and the samurai suddenly start floating up towards Tobi's maelstrom.

Shikimaru: "Shit! Some body get them down."

Chouji tries to grab them but can't quite reach them. Suddenly a bubble forms around the both of them. Temari looks over to see the samurai has formed the bubble from chakra emenating from his hand. They both slowly land on the ground as shikimaru and naruto run towards them.

Naruto: "All of you with bijuu come here now! Its time to start the next part of the plan."

All of them huddle next to naruto as he holds his hand out. On by one they all touch it and close their eyes. Suddenly in an instant they all find themselves in darkness with the bijuu surrounding them all.

Naruto: "We are now down to the final battle here but now I will need all of you to trust your bijuus as I have come to entrust in you. This has been their fight long before it was ours therefore we must let them make the final strike."
Temari: "What do you have in mind?"

Naruto and the others all open their eyes and look towards gedo maza.

Shikimaru: "What are you all doing?
Naruto: "Ready?! Trust us shikimaru. This will all be over soon."
Shikimaru: "Ok."

Gedo maza breaks free of the earth attack holding it in place and turns to face them. Suddenly all of the jinchuriki burst into their chakra tailed beast forms giving off a tremendous wave of chakra energy. Everyone of the shinobi look on in shock as sense the tremendous power of all the bijuu combined. The hokage are getting patched up when suddenly they all look in the distance as they sense a tremendous surge in chakra.

Garaa: "What is going on over there?"
Raikage: "Probably the final battle of this war."

Tobi way up in the cloud looks down as he sees all the jinchuriki in their tailed beast chakra form. The tailed beasts all turn to face the 9 tails. They all charge at once and attack gedo maza. The one tails and two tails are attacking the left leg while the 3 tails and four tails are attacking the right let. The 5 tails and 6 tails are attacking the left arm while the 7 tails and 8 tails are attacking the right arm. The 9 tails charges in and suddenly blasts a massive hole through the stomach of gedo maza. At the same moment the arms and legs give way on gedo maza as the damage severs both legs and arms leaving gedo maza wailing as it crashs to ground and shatters into several dozen pieces. The shinobi cheer as they all look at the remains of gedo maza. Suddenly a tremendous suction effect occurs as the maelstrom reaches a large enough size that it begins sucking everything into it. The tailed beasts all nod their heads and look up to face tobi. The chakra cloak fades away from naruto's face as he looks up to face Tobi.

Naruto: "This is for you Tobi from all of those whom you have caused such great suffering to. For all those who died in your vain pursuit of power. This is the power you sought so highly."

The cloak fades back over naruto's face and all the bijuu start creating a tailed beast bomb. As the tailed beast bombs grow in size they connect together to form a larger tailed beast bomb until suddenly a massive ball of energy is formed. The massive ball of energy is then compressed as it grows smaller until it becomes one purple ball. Suddenly they all launch the ball straight towards the maelstrom. The tailed beast ball slams into the maelstrom causing a massive explosion of energy. The tailed beasts all turn back into their normal human forms.

Tobi thinks: "I must escape before its too late."

The explosion sends off a massive blast wave which causes a massive burst of wind. In responce several of the shinobi create various earth spheres to protect everyone from the blast. As the smoke clears everyone looks around and the others all turn to face naruto only to find him missing.

Shikimaru: "Where is naruto!"

Tobi reappears near one of the pieces of gedo maza and prepares to absorb it when suddenly he hears a noise behind him.

Naruto: "I told you I wouldn't let you escape this time!"

Naruto hits tobi point blank with a rasenshuriken that gets everyone's attention as tobi screams in agony as he rockets a short distance away carried by the rasenshuriken. As the blast clears tobi is shown laying in the crater with his mask mostly shattered while the others look on at naruto in surprise.

Shikimaru: "Report to the comm squad and spread it through the entire network. The war is over. I repeat. The war is over!"

Naruto smiles and heads over to join the others as the other shinobi head over to secure tobi. Naruto smiles as everyone cheers in celebration.
